„Let our dreams come true”

Our organision every year organise international events, so we like to work with international teams, speciaaly at this time, because we will share with participants our dream about our outdoor centre place and give them chance be a part of power which help realise really practical and adventure based project! Our organisation previously experience show to us, that when you work with youngsters with fewer opportunities as a very effective tool is work in a small groups which promote to people sociall skill development and rise up their self esteem. Of course this is not easy way of changes, because needeed of self behaviour changes and habits change, but during live in group, work in a group with clear aims youngsters become more responsibil and active in decition making about life around.
We are offer to volunteers be a part of decision making and ideas creating process to reach our organisation visions and dreams. We had a place to fulfil our ideas and volunteers will work in small international teams with self chooses practical jobs for week longs – for example create a camp side by the river.
Summary of your project
Volunteers were working in the outdoors education centre place near the river of Taleja. Their task was to establish appropriate environment for seminars and trainings of non formal education and social correction.
Volunteers planed and created new ideas for all the facilities by themselves. After creation of conception and consulting with experts in outdoor education, volunteers worked practically together to realized the ideas.
During the weekends we offered to volunteers a special cultural and historical programm about Latvia. They got new knowledge and experience in hiking, kayaking and high ropes, while traveling around regions of Latvia.
Kopsavilkums par projekta pasākumiem
Brīvprātīgie strādāja topošajā āra dzīves izglītības centrā pie Talejas upes. Brīvprātīgo uzdevums bija iekārtot vidi un uzdevumus neformālās izglītības un sociālās korekcijas semināriem, treniņiem.
Brīvprātīgie paši plānoja un izstrādāja idejas centra vides iekārtošanai. Pēc ideju izstrādāšanas un konsultēšanās ar speciālistiem, paši brīvprātīgie, strādājot kopā, tās realizēja.
Nedēļas nogalēs brīvprātīgajiem tika piedāvāta Latvijas kultūrvēstures iepazīšanas programma, iegūstot jaunu pieredzi, dodoties velobraucienā, laivu braucienā un pārgājienā gan uz Latgali, gan Zemgali, gan Kurzemi.
